The D3 research ‘follows the drug’ across episodes of digitalization. Through this, the medicine as a material object is placed at the centre of the investigation – as the ‘thing’ (the drug, the tablet, the therapy), and as digital traces (representations), or as combined in some new hybrid digital materiality or assemblage.

As we followed the drug, we mapped the ways it enters into use, and moves from use in the supply chain, to clinical use, to use for research, management and commissioning purposes…
