MarketLine Advantage
MarketLine sorts through data and delivers accurate, up to date information on companies, industries and countries across the world. With specialisms in the financial services, professional and technology services, pharmaceuticals and health, transport and logistics, media and communications, environment and waste management services, business and consumer and energy and utilities to name but a few, this resource will help with a huge array of LSE graduate destinations.
Euromonitor International Passport
As an integrated international market research database which provides business information on 52 countries for industry reports and data and 205 countries for countries and consumers data, Euromonitor is most useful for students interested in consumer trends and analysis.
Yearbook of International Organisations
The Yearbook is published annually by the Union of International Organisations and contains basic reference information about international bodies, organisations and agencies worldwide. It covers international organisations, NGOs, and intergovernmental organisations and so is a good source of information for students interested in working in these fields.
MERGENT Intellect
Mergent Intellect offers students the chance to access private and public US and international business data, industry news, facts and figures, executive contact information, industry profiles and much more. Whilst US focused, there is the option to include a search for organisations outside the States.
ORBIS
ORBIS is a global database which has information on around 125 million companies. ORBIS includes advanced search and analysis software so you can identify companies around the world. As well as descriptive information and the company financials, ORBIS contains further details such as news, market research, ratings and country reports, scanned reports, ownership and M&A data.
Zephyr
Zephyr is a comprehensive database of deal information containing data on M&A, IPO, private equity and venture capital deals. Detailed financial information on the companies involved is also included. Content is updated hourly and covers information on rumours as well as announced and completed deals. In addition Zephyr features analysis of the rumours, data verification, and foreign language deals translated into English and customisable league tables across a range of sectors targeted by LSE students.
Bloomberg
The Library has four Bloomberg terminals which provide access to the Bloomberg Professional service, located on the Data PCs in the group study areas on floor 4 of the library. Bloomberg contains near real-time and historical financial information on individual equities, stock market indices, fixed-income securities, currencies, commodities, and futures for both international and domestic markets. It also provides company profiles and financial statements, analysts’ forecasts, news on worldwide financial markets, and audio and video interviews and presentations by key players in business and finance. You don’t have to have a career interest in the financial markets to benefit from using Bloomberg for your careers research.
