Euromonitor International Passport
The LSE Library has over 95 online and terminal based subscriptions, many of which can be useful for your careers research. Our series of blogs outlines some of these subscriptions and how you can make use of them to enhance your applications and interview answers. This second post focuses on using Euromonitor International Passport for your careers research.
As an integrated international market research database which provides business information on 52 countries for industry reports and data and 205 countries for countries and consumers data, Euromonitor is most useful for students interested in consumer trends and analysis.
The top ways Euromonitor can help with your careers research
1. Industry news
From news on the alcoholic drinks industry to consumer health and packaged foods, there is a wealth of up to date information which will help you become more commercially aware; this is important to demonstrate in your applications and at interview. Try linking why specific news has motivated you to want to work for employers you’re applying to.
2. Global economic forecasts
Reporting on general country outlooks, downside risks, consumer spending on confidence, business investment and confidence, financial markets and interest rates across emerging and development countries, this information can help you understand what has recently happened in your chosen industry in a specific country. This would be essential background reading, especially if the sector or the country you are applying to is new to you.
