If you have two or three years’ work experience (or even more…), your requirements are likely to be different from students with less professional experience. You may be studying to enable a career transition, or your studies may be more focused towards career progression. Either way, we offer a range of events and support that could be useful to you:
One-to-one appointments with a career consultant
Whether you’d like some help identifying options, thinking through next steps, giving your CV a makeover, applying for new roles or practising for interviews, our consultants are here to help; just book an appointment through CareerHub. You can still book appointments for up to two years after your course has finished and if you are unable to get here for a face-to-face discussion, you can speak to someone by telephone or via Skype!
CVs for experienced hires
For advice on how to write and shape your CV as an ‘experienced hire’, take a look at our advice on everything from research to presentation and look out for seminars on CareerHub.
Opportunities for experienced hires
We advertise opportunities for experienced hires on CareerHub. You can also be growing your network to be in the best position possible to find out about opportunities that aren’t advertised. Use LinkedIn to connect with LSE alumni working in roles and organisations that interest you.
Events
LSE Careers regularly organises panel and networking events to support the development of current students and alumni, including those who are interested in changing sectors. You can meet alumni, employers and fellow experienced students at many of our events so have a look on CareerHub and sign up!
