The Celebration of Sustainability 2015 event celebrated all the hard work put in by staff and students  on environmental initiatives this year, and was a great success! The event was hosted by Bob Ward from the Grantham Research Institute and saw LSE Alum Rishi Madlani give an inspirational talk on building connections and challenging current structures to bring about sustainable change.

It was an honour to watch so many of the halls claim so many of the prizes!

Three teams jointly won the prestigious prize of Platinum this year, two of which were Halls teams.  A particular ‘Well done’ is due to Roseberry Hall and Northumberland House!

Here is a complete list of all the Residential Services Teams which won prizes:

  • Butlers Wharf – Green Impact Bronze Award
  • Grosvenor House – Green Impact Bronze Award
  • High Holborn – Green Impact Bronze Award
  • Bankside House – Green Impact Silver Award
  • Carr-Saunders – Green Impact Gold Award
  • Residential Services Sardinia House – Green Impact Gold Award
  • Passfield – Green Impact Gold Project Award and Special Award for innovation
  • Rosebery Hall – Green Impact Platinum Award
  • Northumberland House – Green Impact Platinum Award and Special Award for student engagement

Congratulations and thank you to all who contributed to the work done to achieve these awards!

Next year’s Green Impact will be launched in September 2015.  If you want to get involved, speak to your Front of House Manager for more information.  All staff and students are invited to take part.
