Food for Life accreditation for our catered halls

Congratulations to our four catered Halls of Residence, Bankside, Carr-Saunders, Passfield and Rosebery who have achieved the bronze accreditation Food for Life Catering Mark. We are one of 36 other universities to have achieved the Food for Life accreditation.

The Food for Life accreditation provides a guarantee to those who eat in our catered halls restaurants that they are getting fresh food, free from any undesirable additives and better for animal welfare. Also, that all our eggs are free range, our fresh meats are red tractor or farm assured and that our fish products are certified sustainable seafood. In addition we also only provide the following fair-trade product, bananas, coffee and hot chocolate.

We currently serve 8630 meals a week across the four sites knowing that we are making a difference to food that ends up on your plates!
