The LSE Student Accommodation Survey 2013 revealed that we have work to do to improve the experience of LSE students living in intercollegiate accommodation.

In response to this feedback we recruited and introduced a team of six “University of London Residences Ambassadors” to help connect LSE’s intercollegiate residents to the school and to each other.

The Ambassadors were a team of six undergraduate students with experience of living in either LSE or University of London accommodation. Early indications are that this programme has made a positive impact.

Their Facebook group has nearly 170 members and remains active and over 100 students attended the event on the first night. Attendance at subsequent events has remained high and intercollegiate residents were represented at LSESU RAG’s “Battle of the Halls” for the very first time!

In addition to appreciating the hard work of the pilot Ambassadors, we would like to express our appreciation to the LSE Hall Committees who invited University of London residents to their own events and gave them a warm welcome to the LSE residential community.
