Hello! I’ve listened to most and enjoyed all of the web-publicised lectures at LSE. I wish you all the best in this thorough undertaking of removing prejudice for the advance of women!
Though I have one caveat. Please note that the following is about no particular person. Me coming from politics, business and social life in a quite egalitarian country – Norway – I would like to add that power does infact corrupt. Positions of power are by definition abused, if only for the fact that any position of power could always have been exchanged with better expertice and more competent democratic discourse.
Therefore it follows that power and influence is a substandard goal in the advance of women’s participation and freedom.
I believe firmly that removing prejudice is the best aim, not the attainment of position.
Please do continue the good discourse!
Sincerely Jarl Tollefsen
