LSE Careers website
Our website is the first place to look when you have any queries. Our employment sectors section has a huge amount of information for different sectors, including routes into each one and deadline dates for graduate schemes and internships. We also have comprehensive information about CVs, psychometric tests, postgraduate study, and much more, which may be the best place to look when starting your research.
Exclusive resources
Our Exclusive resources page lists the subscriptions we have to external careers-related services that you can access as an LSE student. Whether you want to work on your interview techniques, practice psychometric tests, get an international job, or get information about particular sectors, there should be something there for you.
Jobs board
At LSE Careers we work with a huge number of employers to post their vacancies on our exclusive jobs board. You’ll find jobs ranging from internships to experienced hire, and a huge variety of sectors too. If you’re interested in jobs from particular companies, you can also search and follow these companies through the Organisations tab to receive notifications every time they post an event or vacancy.
Free resources
Resource Centre library
In the Careers Resource Centre on Floor 5 of the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre we have a library of books that you can borrow on a huge range of careers-related topics. We have a large number of books on interviews and psychometric tests, but also information on academic jobs, creative careers, volunteering, and starting your own business – so come up and have a look to see if any of these interest you.
Takeaway materials
We have many resources available to help you make great applications to all employers throughout the year. For example, our How to write CVs and cover letters and How to complete application forms guides are a great starting point.
Also in the Careers Resource Centre are a lot of takeaway resources about sectors and employers that may help you with your careers research. We have specific guide booklets, for example, the Chambers Student Guide and The Training Contracts and Pupillages Handbook, specialist sector books from TargetJobs and Inside Careers, and also booklets that detail the best companies to work for such as the Times Top 100 Employers of the Year. These are all free to take, so make sure you bring a bag when coming to collect them!
