We were presented with a total of nine (!) green impact awards at the Celebration of Sustainability awards in the Shaw Library on Thursday 22 May 2014, thanks to the fantastic efforts from all the green impact teams in Residences for 2013–14.

Rosebery Hall – Platinum
Residential Services (Sardinia House Team)- Gold
Northumberland House – Gold
Carr-Saunders Hall – Gold
Passfield Hall – Silver
Bankside House – Silver
High Holborn – Silver
Butler’s Wharf – Bronze
Grosvenor House – Bronze

Actually the awards were recycled floor boards –there were so many Steve Ryan thought he might be able to make a nice floor with them.

…and Rosa…well she could have created her own garden with the number of trees and plants she picked up for everyone!

Carr-Saunders picked up a certificate, plaque and prize money for the hall which saved the most energy per student as part of the Student Switch off competition.

Congratulations too to Dan Reeves who won the award for ‘Best Staff Engagement”, Residential Services Green Gerald who got a special award and Nelson from Rosebery who helped join in the celebrations.
