Last Thursday evening (8 May) saw LSE’s New Academic Building transformed into an exhibition space as part of LSE Research Festival 2014. Posters, photographs and short films submitted by student and staff researchers from LSE and elsewhere were on display to the many visitors who came along to learn more about important social science research. Exhibitors chatted with guests about their research projects over a drink, and throughout the evening visitors were invited to vote for their favourite entry. Towards the end of the event, votes were counted and a popular prize was awarded by Professor Julia Black, LSE Pro-Director for Research. A number of other prizes were awarded, too, winners having been chosen a month earlier by our judging panels at a private judging event.
In coming weeks we hope to post interviews with all of the prize winners on their experience of having been involved in the LSE Research Festival 2014 Exhibition, along with photos and videos from the event. For now, we’re pleased to announce the winners of this year’s prizes, along with their winning entries.
