On Thursday, 26 January, students will be voting on whether to adopt a policy on Islamophobia and to renew the existing anti-Semitism policy.

Until now, the Students’ Union has not had a policy defining Islamophobia. With the understanding that Islamophobia is on the rise in the UK, SU wants to adopt a policy to protect Muslim students at LSE.

The existing anti-Semitism policy is lapsing and thus needs renewal. The Union wishes to take a strong stance against anti-Semitism.

The Emergency General Meeting where these are discussed will take place at 1pm on Thursday, 26 January, in the Old Theatre, and voting will be open from 3pm Thursday to 5pm Friday at www.lsesu.com/vote.
