Welcome to our blog.

We have started a dialogue between the UK and Brazil and very much hope that it can go further, providing a space for reflection, sharing of experiences and debate for academics, activists, policy-makers, students and practitioners.

This space is part of the knowledge exchange project ‘Communicating Bottom-up Social Development: a Dialogue between Multiple Stakeholders in the UK and Brazil‘. Navigate the site to find more about our research and current knowledge exchange project, read blog posts from our guests, access resources related to social development, and interact with our global community.

If interested in contributing to the blog or to contact us with questions about our research project, email favelas@lse.ac.uk.

The Favelas at LSE project has come to an end, and we will no longer be publishing new posts on this site. However, you can still explore our blog posts, download a free copy of our book Underground Sociabilities, and explore our toolkit.
