About

This blog – entitled Condolences – provides a place for colleagues and acquaintances, friends and family, to post condolences in memory of LSE staff and students who have passed away.

Each post is a tribute to a member of staff or student. Condolences can be left in the form of comments against each post. These comments are moderated by an LSE member of staff who was close to the person concerned.

Condolences is dedicated to Amber Miro, whose sudden and untimely death led to the creation of this LSE blog.

If you are a member of LSE staff or an LSE student who would like to use this service then please contact Web Services.

  1. Kenneth Clarke says:

    Professor Maurice Fraser

Kenneth Clarke says: ” I was saddened to hear the tragic news of the early death of Maurice Fraser. I saw a lot of him a few years’ ago when we were both involved in British and European politics. He was an intelligent and civilised man, who was a valuable ally in any argument and a very nice person to know. I send my condolences to all his family.”

The Rt. Hon. Kenneth Clarke, CH, QC, MP
