If you have ever babysat for kids, or maybe have a young niece or nephew, you’ll know very well that what they lack in size, they make up for in imagination! From making dens to acting as superheroes, children are brilliant examples of what happens when you “let go” a little and explore different ways of looking at the world through the power of play. As adults, we do a lot less of this. For a variety of reasons we stick to quite limited rules and processes when we make decisions and potentially run the risk of missing out on adventures and innovative ideas. When it comes to working out what career might be satisfying for you, there are a whole host of factors to take into account – so what better way than to expand the way in which we explore such massive themes than through engaging with our imagination?
Enter centre stage: our brand new PlaytoInnovate workshop! LSE Careers and LSE Life have come together once again to create an exciting and innovative series of Work It Out events that will allow you to think in more depth about what matters to you in your future career, whatever a career might mean to you! To kick off the series, we have invited play expert and creative strategist Yesim Kunter to lead a 2 hour session on discovering and exploring what a future career might look like for you, based on your priorities and values – and all of this is done through the power of play!
Bookings will be on a first come, first served basis and can be found on CareerHub.
Hopefully see you soon, on the playground!
